K9 Cover Dog Insurance Reviews

K9 Cover is a UK dog insurance specialist that focuses on covering pets with pre-existing conditions. Unlike most standard insurers who exclude conditions your dog had before the policy started, K9 Cover uses online medical screening to assess your dog's history and can cover most pre-existing conditions, including many ongoing chronic ones. This page brings together reviews from real dog owners who have been insured with K9 Cover, so you can get an honest picture of what it's like to claim, renew, and deal with them day to day.

About K9 Cover

K9 Cover is a dog-only insurance specialist based in the UK. They take a different approach to most pet insurers by offering online medical screening at the point of quote, which means owners can see upfront whether their dog's conditions can be covered and how much it will cost to insure them.

They cover most pre-existing conditions, including many ongoing chronic conditions where a dog is currently on medication, which is unusual in the UK market. Vet fee limits are set by the owner, up to £8,000 per year, and owners can choose their excess level to adjust the premium.

The policy includes a 20% co-payment for dogs aged 7 to 11 and 25% for dogs aged 12 and over. All quotes on the K9 Cover site are anonymous. K9 Cover is a specialist provider and does not appear on mainstream comparison sites.
