Things worth knowing
K9 Cover only covers dogs. There is no cat or multi-pet policy available.
They use online medical screening at the point of quote. You will be asked to declare your dog's conditions and the system will tell you whether they can be covered and at what cost.
Most pre-existing conditions can be covered, including many chronic conditions where your dog is currently receiving treatment or medication.
The vet fee limit is set by you, up to £8,000 per year.
A co-payment applies for older dogs: 20% for dogs aged 7 to 11, and 25% for dogs aged 12 and over. This is on top of your fixed excess.
Only one excess is charged per policy year, regardless of how many claims you make.
All quotes are anonymous - you do not need to give personal details to get a price.
K9 Cover does not appear on comparison sites. You can only get a quote directly at k9cover.com.
Bilateral conditions are not covered, even if only one side is affected.
Full policy terms are available directly from K9 Cover and can change over time. Always check the current policy wording before purchasing.
